Biography

  She has been research director of NILU's City and Industry Department (INBY) since 2010, and joined NILU from the position as head of the air pollution department at the Meteorological Institute. She holds a doctorate in meteorology with emphasis on atmospheric chemistry and long-range air pollution, and has more than 30 years of experience in assessing and managing air quality. With over 70 articles and reports on air pollution and its various implications for environmental and political management on the CV, she is a reputable researcher with good international reputation and a large network of contacts. She has recently been appointed a member of the European Environment Agency, the EEA Scientific Committee, and in addition, she is co-chair of the Urban Emission Group under the FAIRMODE (Forum for Air Quality Modeling in Europe) and Co-Chair of the Global Emission Inventory Activity ( GEIA), which is part of the International Geosphere Biosphere Program (IGBP-IGAC). She plays a central role in interaction with users, from both management and business, in the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service project (CAMS).
