Janina is a Post-doc Research Scientist at the Aquaculture Research Group (ARG) within Moredun Research Institute. Her research interests include vaccine development for fish viral diseases such as Betanodavirus and Iridoviridae, and techniques for characterising immunogenic regions e.g. epitope mapping. Janina is also interested in characterisation of new viral fish pathogens using new approaches for virus isolation and culture; purification of the virus for proteomic analysis and developing tools for virus research; developing challenge models for viral diseases in fish and studying the immune response of fish and evasion strategies by the virus. Janina manages the ARG cell culture and virology’s laboratories.
