Biography

Eng. Sabrina Copelli carries out his scientific research activity in several areas of Applied Physical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering such as kinetics of chemical reactions, thermochemical stability of reagent mixtures, industrial safety, safe optimization of polymerization reactions And the problems of pollution of exhausted air and wastewater. This research activity is summarized in more than 40 publications (international journals with peer-review). His scientific activity was initially focused on the study of the thermal stability of reagent mixtures and dynamic modeling of the thermal conductivity of semibatch reactors in which potentially fugitive reactions (or runaway reactions) were conducted. Since the second half of 2012, the research activity has been extended to the dynamic modeling of industrial equipment for the treatment of exhaust air (biotrickling filters) and wastewater, as well as simplified modeling of air pollutant dispersion and the effects of Fires in the tunnel (reconstruction of the air and wall temperature profiles). Two new research paths have also been launched recently (end-2014): one for the study of dust explosions and one for the advanced risk assessment in different types of plants in the process industry and waste treatment (currently Focus is on biogas plants, so there are no known studies on it). Currently Ing. Sabrina Copelli has active research collaborations with the IQS (Institut Quimic de Sarria, Barcelona, Spain), the INNOVHUB - SSI (S. Donato M.se, Italy) Division of Fuel Fuels Division and the Politecnico di Milano (Dipartimento Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "G. Natta", Milan, Italy).
