Andre van Wijnen studied biochemistry molecular biology cell biology and biomedical sciences at the University of Utrecht Netherlands the University of Massachusetts Worcester Massachusetts and the University of Florida Gainesville Florida. He is currently a Professor at UMass Medical School in the Department of Cell Biology. His research interests include cancer biology, bone biology and stem cell biology with a broad focus on cell cycle regulation and self-renewal, lineage-commitment and reprogramming, cell signaling and gene regulation, chromatin, epigenetics, microRNAs, as well as genomics and proteomics.
