Dr. Zhang Yunhai received his PhD degree in 2005 from China Agricultural University, and then returned to Anhui Agricultural University from Denmark after postdoctoral training in 2007, and since then he was appointed step by step as instructor, associate professor, and recently professor by Anhui Agricultural University. He has been qualified as tutor and supervisor for postgraduates majoring Animal Genetics, Breeding and Reproduction from 2007. He also is an Research Associate of Anhui Provincial 115 Industrial Innovation Team, Vice director of Anhui Provincial Laboratory for Local Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resource Conservation and Breeding, and one of reserve candidates of the Nineth Batch Anhui Provincial Academic and Technology Leaders. In 2012, Dr. Zhang won the 14th Anhui Province Youth Science and Technology Award. He acts as board members for Anhui Association of Cellular Biology, and Society of Wild Animal and Plant Protection. Dr. Zhang has been involved in animal assisted reproductive technologies-related activities in Fuyang Cattle Artificial Insemination Station since 1997. From his studying for master degree untill now, his major research interests are application and basic researches on cutting-edge animal reproductive biotechnologies such as somatic cell nuclear transfer, induced pluripotent stem cells, oocyte/embryo vitrification, animal transgenesis. He, as one of the key players, made many contributions to the first somatic cloned pig in China in 2005, the world first handmade cloned pigs in 2006.
