Biography

Dr. Sukanta Dash is now with the department of chemical engineering as an Asst. professor. Dr. Dash has 16 years of teaching and research experience. With Industry, Dr. Dash is working as a process advisor to AGTS for the development of FSRU and allied technology and as a simulation expert to Carbon Clean solutions, UK.

Research Intrest

Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS): post combustion CO2 capture from flue gas streams with activated/blended chemical/hybrid solvents. Process optimazation, process economic study, pilot plant data validation using Aspen Plus®. Energy requirement study using alternative flow sheet configurations. Modeling and simulation using Aspen Plus®. Natural Gas Processing: Removal of acid gases, VLE and kinetics study. Thermodynamics of activated and blended amine solvents. Subject teaching 1.
