He has done his Ph.D., 1977, University of Natal, South Africa, M.S., 1972, University of Natal, South Africa, B.S., 1970, University of Natal, South Africa. Currently he is a Professor in Department of Animal Sciences at university of Illinois.

Research Intrest

Molecular microbial ecology in the gastrointestinal tract; functional and comparative genomics of gut bacteria; comparative digestive physiology and metabolism.
