Rebecca Kenyon, Psy.D., MFT, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She’s the Director of Clinical Training for the M.A. in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy Program at the San Diego Regional Center, where she works to ensure a positive relationship between APU and community agencies in order to train MFT students and provide quality clinical care to the community. Kenyon also attends quarterly meetings with educators and agency directors throughout San Diego and Imperial counties in order to remain up to date on changes within the field. She feels blessed to be a part of the training and growth of the next generation of MFTs, and her interests include therapists-in-training, mindfulness, meditation, and communication. She also has worked extensively in the eating disorder field—her doctoral dissertation was on eating disorders and marital relationships, and addressed how best to support both spouses in the treatment and recovery process. Additionally, Kenyon has a private practice in San Diego where she works with adults, couples, and families to support them through times of transition using CBT, mindfulness, and family systems perspectives.
