Dr Ranjana Mathur is a Senior Consultant of the Vitreo-Retinal Service and General Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service at the Singapore National Eye Centre. She undertook her medical studies at the University of Bombay, India, and was conferred the degrees of Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery, MS Ophthalmology and Diplomate of National Board. She obtained the degree of Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore and Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1998. Accredited as a specialist in Ophthalmology in Singapore since 2003, Dr Mathur did her clinical fellowship in Medical Retina. Her sub-specialty expertise includes her experience in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular pathology and Inherited retinal diseases. She has special interest in Inherited retinal conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa, Stargardt maculopathy and role of Electrophysiology in diagnosing complex retinal and optic nerve conditions. She currently holds positions of Clinical Director “Primary Eye Clinic”, Head of Clinical services of Electrophysiology Lab, Institutional Risk Officer”, Clinical lecturer in the Medical Faculty at National University Hospital, adjunct clinical scientist at Singapore Eye Research Institute.
