Born in 1980 in Gaziantep, Prof. Özdurak completed his schooling in Gaziantep and graduated from Ä°stanbul University CerrahpaÅŸa Medical School in 2004 as the third highest performing student. In the same year he started his specialty training in the Maternity Clinic at Ä°stanbul Okmeydanı Education and Research Hospital. In 2009 he qualified as a specialist and carried out his compulsory service in NiÄŸde. He then returned to his home city of Gaziantep to work as an obstetrician and gynecologist at the private Sani KonukoÄŸlu Hospital. In March 2014 he also became a founding member of academic staff at SANKO University and was appointed assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology. Prof. Özdurak, who is married with one child, has a good command of English. His professional areas of interest include assisted reproductive treatment (ART) methods, urogynecology, and the use of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in perinatology. His hobbies include cinema, football and Gaziantep cuisine.
