Biography

My primary clinical interest is pediatric airway management, specifically management of the pediatric difficult airway. My research involves the clinical assessment of various airway devices including use of supraglottic airways, videolaryngoscopes, and fiberoptic bronchoscopy used in infants and children undergoing medical procedures and surgery under anesthesia; and whether these modalities improve patient safety and outcomes in clinical practice. I am involved in teaching/training residents & fellows these advanced airway management techniques including involvement in clinical research.
