Assistant Professor of Pathology & Cell Biology at CUMC Dr.Haghighi received her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Science, Tehran, Iran. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical pathology at Harbor-UCLA medical center, Torrance, CA. Following which she completed her fellowship training in cytopathology at LAC+USC, Los Angeles, CA and two years pathology informatics training at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. She is a board certified pathologist with board certifications in Cytopathology and Clinical Informatics. Her interests include quality improvement, workflow redesign, optimizations of LIS design, implementation of lab automation systems, outreach lab order interfaces and advanced imaging techniques. She is the chair of membership Committee of Association of Pathology Informatics.
