Marv Erisman, Ph.D., is interested in the integration of psychology, ethics, and theology, and the practical implications of this integration for psychotherapy. His focus is the role of psychotherapy in moral and spiritual identity formation, especially as psychotherapy is challenged to engage in this task in a diverse, urban, and pluralistic context. Erisman is trained in phenomenology and qualitative research and is also interested in mental models of interdisciplinary integration. As a practitioner, he applies his skills as an organizational consultant to the health care industry in the areas of organizational change, executive development, and organizational development. He is the director of integration and interdisciplinary studies within the Department of Graduate Psychology, has a keen interest in mental health delivery models, and serves the community through board participation.
