Biography

Over 30 years experience in nursing practice, research and education. My current role is Senior Lecturer/Research Fellow in the School of Healthcare Sciences, Bangor University. Key interests are implementation research and realist methodology. My PhD study was in Nursing (The role of intermediaries to promote best practice in infection prevention -a realist evaluation). I am a member of RCBC Wales Alumni, IPONS, and was awarded the status of HEA Principal Fellow in 2015. Research Intrest

My main research interests are in the field of implementation research, focused on learning more about linking and bridging roles to promote best practice in healthcare. I am particularly interested in advancing realist methodology (realist evaluation and realist synthesis). I have experience of research in infection prevention and the quality and safety agenda. My other particular interests include student engagement, practice education, primary care nursing, clinical supervision, development of new learning technologies and learning through social media
