Lucy Mays brings clinical expertise into the classroom and clinical courses from her experience in medical-surgical, hemodialysis and primary care. Mays particularly enjoys providing simulated learning opportunities in the campus lab which are reality - based and promote development of hands - on clinical experience as well as the opportunity for students to practice independent clinical reasoning skills and interprofessional communication skills. Improving patient outcomes through the provision of evidence based care is the cornerstone of the courses she teaches.
Interests include diabetes and chronic illnesses due to lifestyle as well as the use of simulation in the educational arena.
