Biography

B.S. Psychology, St. Louis University, 1987 M.A. Clinical Psychology, The Wright Institute, 1997 Psy.D. Clinical Psychology, The Wright Institute, 2000 Dr. Evered is a neuropsychologist and psychodynamically oriented clinical psychologist who maintains psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation practices in Berkeley and Concord. His clinical work, research, and teaching focus on furthering the understanding of the relationship between brain functioning, emotions, and behavior toward effective treatment interventions and outcome. Dr. Evered combines a theoretical and research-based approach to his clinical work in order to develop in depth, supportive, and effective therapeutic relationship. He maintains a broad clinical practice with adults, adolescents, and children

Research Intrest

Specific areas of assessment specialization include mild traumatic brain injury, postconcussive disorder, neurodevelopment, attention pathology, AD/HD, verbal and nonverbal learning disabilities, and Asperger's Syndrome. Dr. Evered's psychotherapy interests include individual development, life change/adjustment, trauma/PTSD, depression, affect dysregulation, and medical illness.
