Promotion of child nursing and ensuring there are excellent nursing students to undertake the course here in Bangor. This has led to Janet’s interest in the interview and selection of students. She has attended study days to discover the various strategies that other universities employ in their selection process in an attempt to reduce the attrition rate.
Janet isn’t currently undertaking any research. For her Master’s, she looked into the role of the mentor for nursing students in the clinical area. Janet has also looked at the effect of PICU on parents and children in collaboration with other colleagues.
