Biography

Molecular mechanisms of Wolbachia-induced cytoplasmic incompatibility and parthenogenesis. Ecology of sex-ratio distorting endosymbionts of invertebrates. Proteomics of paternal and maternal pronuclei during fertilisation and its implication for male sterility. Significance of genetically-engineered intracellular symbionts of invertebrates especially of medically and agriculturally important insects for vector control.
