Biography

Ernesto Akio Taketomi holds a medical degree from the State University of Londrina (1978), a specialization in allergy from the Hospital das Clínicas (FMUSP) (1981), a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the Federal University of São Paulo (1984) and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Federal University of São Paulo (1986) and Post-doctorate at the University of Virginia (1996). He is currently Professor of Immunology and Head of the Research Unit in Allergy and Clinical Immunology of the Federal University of Uberlândia.

Research Intrest

Medicine, with emphasis in Allergology and Clinical Immunology, working mainly in the following subjects: IgE, asthma, house dust mites, allergic rhinitis and allergenic exposure
