Farhan Mohamed is a Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Faculty of Computing lecturer and research staff. His PhD research was conducted with the supervision of Prof Min Chen and Dr Phil Grant. The research project explored the possibilities of using visual metaphors and spatiality of human perceptions and visualizations for tangible and abstract data within a virtual 3â€Dimensional space. He is now works as a lecturer at the department of Graphics and Multimedia and specialised in Computer Graphics Visualisation. Farhan has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia in 2003. He has received Excellence Student Award by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2003. He has been working on Web Performance Optimization for his Master of Science study which he received in March 2007. His current research interests broadened to include data visualisations, visual metaphors, nature-â€inspired computing, and procedural grammar for computer graphics.
