Cristiano Soleo de Funari holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1999). He completed a Master's Degree in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacology (Pharmacognosy) from the University of São Paulo (2005) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Natural Chemistry) by the Institute of Chemistry of the Paulista State University (IQ-UNESP). He completed part of his doctoral studies at the University of Salerno (Italy) and at the University of Geneva (Switzerland). He has worked in companies Labiana Life Sciences (Spain) and Grupo Centroflora (Brazil), developing and coordinating innovation projects in partnership with universities and research institutes. He participated in the elaboration of the plan for the establishment of the portfolio management company for research projects entitled Ybios (now PHYTOBIOS). He developed a postdoctoral project at the Australian Center for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS) and IQ-UNESP, applying concepts of green chemistry to the chemistry of natural products. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences of UNESP (FCA-UNESP), project coordinator MCTI / CNPq / Universal and collaborates with the Future Industries Institute (University of South Australia) in a SPRINT / FAPESP project.
