Biography

A native Mobilian, Dr. Carole Wisemen Norden joined MCI in 2012 as a clinical oncologist and Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Clinical Oncology. Prior to joining MCI, she served as a hematologist/oncologist with Coast Clinical Oncology in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dr. Norden received her medical training at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and holds Board Certifications in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. As a native Mobilian, she is keenly aware of cancer rates in this area, and has a passion for survivorship issues as well as special interests in breast cancer, lung cancer and palliative care. Dr. Norden appreciates the opportunity to offer patients enrollment on clinical trials as a treatment option. "Caring for cancer patients is a privilege and gift," says Dr. Norden who is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the Mississippi State Medical Society.
