Biography

Dr Mani Baskaran is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at Singapore Eye Research Institute, and Assistant Professor at the Eye-ACP, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore. He completed his ophthalmology postgraduate education from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India in 1999 along with glaucoma clinical fellow ship. As a glaucoma consultant from India, he participated in several clinical and epidemiological studies. His current research focus involves imaging, diagnosis and management of angle closure in Asia, clinical trials and software algorithms in anterior segment imaging. He has more than 120 international publications, more than 50 invited talks and presentations in international conferences, 8 book chapters and 6 co-patents in the field of glaucoma. He is a member of the All India Ophthalmological society and Glaucoma society of India. He also serves as a reviewer in more than 15 international peer reviewed, indexed journals.
