Dr. Angela Cocoman RPN, MSc, PhD is a Lecturer at the School of Nurses and Human Sciences in Dublin City University. Angela trained as a psychiatric/mental health nurse and has worked and studied both in Ireland and Australia. Her clinical background is in acute and community nursing. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing studies at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia in 1998 and her MSc in 2002 at The Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, and her PhD in University College Dublin in 2016. Angela currently teaches a number of undergraduate and post graduate modules, she has gained an amount of theoretical and clinical experience in the area of community mental health care, this experience has enhanced her desire to gain further knowledge in the physical health and well-being of people with severe mental illness.
