Member of the Faculty Assembly from 2009 to 2011. Vice-President of the Regional Council of the Center of the Order of Physicians. Head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the CHUC Board since December 1997. President of the Portuguese Society of Dermatology and Venereology from 2010 to 2014. Elected Member of the Board of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the Elections and Appointments Committee from 2007 to 2013. Coordinator of the Portuguese Acne Advisory Board.  Referee of leading international journals of Dermatology: British Journal of Dermatology; Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology; International Journal of Dermatology; Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia.
