Alyson Moyes Current position Joined the school in October 2016 as a Lecturer in Medical Sciences.Teaching I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning and I am an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Currently I am module lead for MSE-2016 Clinical Biochemistry, MSE-3018 Applied Biochemistry, MSE-3010 Applied Physiology and MSE-1020 Biomedical Practical’s. Contributor to MSE-1017 Key skills in medical science and project supervisor for students on MSE-3008 Dissertation.
Current research interests lie in the surgical response of patients undergoing treatments for urological conditions. My PhD work focuses on the routine haematological, biochemical and endothelial response to surgery and the role of phagocytic leukocytes in patients undergoing flexible ureterorenoscopy for the treatment of kidney stones.
