Judith has worked as a critical care dietitian for the last 16 years. In 2007 she undertook a MSc by Research at the University of Edinburgh and at this time joined the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group. In 2009 Judith was awarded a PhD fellowship from the Chief Scientist office. Her PhD, based at Edinburgh University, is due to be completed in December 2012 uses a mixed method approach to explore the barriers to nutrition after intensive care. Recently she was awarded a Research and Development post doctoral fellowship to further develop a patient- centred strategy to promote nutritional recovery after critical illness.
