The Surgeon Ophthalmologist Georgios Gatakis graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . During the specialization, he performed a large number of cataract surgery with the phagocytosis method and specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He was trained in laser correction with myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and presbyopia in Crete, by the lasik methodologist, Professor Pallikaris. He has published a number of papers in scientific ophthalmology journals. Since 2003 he has worked as an individual and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
