Dr. Evangelos Tsichlis is a surgeon ophthalmologist specializing in vitreous - retinal procedures. After completing his studies he worked at the University of Aachen, initially at the Department of Traumatology and then at the Ophthalmology Clinic. In October 2001, he was admitted to the Klinikum Bielefeld Ophthalmology Clinic (Academic University of Münster University), whose director is Prof. Prof. Dr. honey. habil. ROW Burk, who is among others the inventor of the Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HTR), the world's leading glaucoma diagnosis tool. At the same time, he completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Heidelberg with his training in ophthalmosurgery. In 2005 Dr. Evangelos Tsichlis received the title of specialty in Ophthalmology from the Medical Association of Münster. In December 2005 he took up a position as a bureaucrat until November 2006, when he was appointed Head of the Aristotle and Deputy Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic of Klinikum Bielefeld. In February 2007 he was awarded the title of Doctor of the University of Heidelberg. Dr. Evangelos Tsichlis has more than 3000 intraocular surgeries and more than 1500 laser surgeries. It is remarkable that the above interventions took place exclusively at the Ophthalmology Clinics of the German Universities and that they are among the few doctors in our country who have a list of thousands of surgeries, certified by a University Clinic abroad.
