The surgeon optician of Canarias Stefanos Municipality was born in 1963. In 1981 he was admitted to the Military School of Officers Corps, Medical Division with 11th succession. He enrolled at the Medical School of the University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 1988 with a degree "Very Good" and the degree of the Hypothermia. From 1988 to 1991 he served in 401 GFS of Athens and in the Hellenic Armed Forces medical units. In 1991-1995 he specializes in Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic at 424 GSNE, under the direction of Mr. Moschos Konstantinou, and at the Ophthalmology Clinic of GND "Aghios Dimitrios", in the Department of Vitreous - Retinal, under the direction of Mr. Nikolakopoulos Athanasios. During his specialty he takes part in numerous anterior and posterior semi-motions of the eye. As a principal assistant in the Yiallo - Retinal section, he performs a number of fluoroangiograms, photos and retinal laser. From 1995 to 1997 he participates in the Diabetes clinic of Agios Pavlos Hospital as an ophthalmologist partner, while training colleagues, trainee diabetics, in the debut of diabetic patients. From 1996 to 2007, he was assigned to the Department of Ophthalmology Clinic at 424 GSEE Thessaloniki, with the rank of Archaiologist, as Head of the Angiography and Retinal Laser Department. From 2001 to 2002, he is a scientific associate in the Department of Vitreous-Retinal, the Department of Ophthalmology of the General Hospital of Aghios Dimitrios. In 2005 he is trained in OCT (Retinal Cohesive Optical Tomography) at the Retinology Clinic of the AHEPA University Clinic of Ophthalmology, Thessaloniki. In 2007 he is retired with his request.   During the period 2002-2004 he participates in the Board of Directors of the Ophthalmological Society of Northern Greece (OEBE) as General Secretary and in the period 2006-2008 as Treasurer. In the second half of 2014 he is Vice President of OEBE and from December 2014 until 2016 he is Secretary General of OEBE. In December 2016 he is elected President of OEBE. He is a founding member of the Macedonian - Thrace Association of Free Professionals of Oculists (ENELOFT). He is a member of the Hellenic Society for Endoprofilation and Refractive Surgery, the Hellenic Society for Retinal Surgery and the European Society of Refractive Surgery and Cataract. He is also a member of the newly founded Hellenic Society for Study and Education for Diabetes Mellitus (former DEBE). He participates in works, announcements, posters and presentations of incidents in numerous Greek and international Ophthalmological conferences since 1991.

 He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular and inflammatory diseases.
