Stuart is Chief Executive of iPP and Managing Director of Labco UK. Stuart was involved in establishing iPP in 2010 and was a board Director of iPP until 2012. Prior to joining iPP as CEO, Stuart was an Investment Director at August Equity focused on investing up to £25m to acquire UK based companies and before that he led 3i’s private equity investments into healthcare companies in the UK. Stuart was involved in deals including OneMed – a leading Nordic medical supplies company, Quintiles – the global leader in outsourced clinical services, successfully listed on Nasdaq and Labco – one of Europe’s largest diagnostic lab businesses and the parent company of iPP. Prior to joining 3i, Stuart spent four years working in R&D strategy consulting for major pharmaceutical companies in Europe, US and Japan. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Immunology from the University of Edinburgh, a PhD in Immunology from Imperial College, London and with an MBA from INSEAD, the international business school in France and Singapore. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
