Keith Pitts serves as the vice chairman of Tenet Healthcare Corporation. Pitts joins Tenet from Vanguard Health Systems, where he served as vice chairman. Prior to joining Vanguard, Pitts served as the chairman and chief executive officer of Mariner Post-Acute Network. In addition, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for OrNda HealthCorp, a predecessor of Tenet Healthcare Corporation. He holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Florida Institute of CPAs. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer at a variety of healthcare industry gatherings for organizations across the country. He is serving his third term as the chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals, the industry association that represents investor-owned hospitals.
