Biography

Dr. Huafeng Wei, is working as an Associate Professor of Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care at The University of Pennsylvania Health System. He received his MD from Tongji Medical University, Wuhan, China, 1988, and PhD from George Washington University, Washington, DC, 1996. His research interests include: Basic science: Role of intracellular calcium dysregulation on neuronal apoptosis, autophagy and neurodegenration in neurodegenerative diseases, especially in Alzheimer's Disease. Mechanisms of anesthesia mediated neurotoxicity and neurodegeneration, especially in the developing brains and in Alzheimer's disease, Clincal science: Clinical use of Supraglottic Jet Oxygenationa and Ventilation (SJOV) in difficult airway management
