Elizabeth Kraft, DVM was born near Detroit Michigan. Raised as a city kid, she longed to be a farm kid. She transplanted with her family to North Dakota in 1994 and attended NDSU where she finished her undergraduate work and then moved on to Ames, Iowa to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2000. Then she packed up and headed towards the west coast, where she had many adventures caring for large and small animals in the beautiful mountains of Southwestern Oregon, and married her sweet heart Herb. While in Oregon she started her own business, Kraft Mobile Veterinary Clinic. Twin boys and a little girl arrived soon after, bringing with them a whirlwind of adventure. Dr. Kraft came back to the Midwest in the summer of 2011 to be closer to family still in the central Dakota area. The mobile practice succeeded well in the Bismarck area, but Dr. Kraft felt the pull of family- raising three very active children and running a business was not an ideal situation. So she sold the mobile practice and joined Heart River Animal Hospital in August of 2015.
