Dr. Mack is a Senior Consultant of the Department of Hepato-pancreato-biliary and Transplant Surgery, Singapore General Hospital and concurrently the Director of SGH Institute for Medical Simulation and Education (IMSE) which utilizes medical simulation for medical postgraduate training. He has extensive experience in education and research. Apart from his professional qualifications in Surgery, he holds three Master degrees in Business Administration (NUS), Health Economics (Curtin) and Medical Education (Dundee) respectively. Dr. Mack also holds a Doctorate in Medical Science from Lund University in Sweden. For seven years (1994-2000) he was the Director of the Department of Experimental Surgery, now restructured and renamed as the SingHealth Experimental Medicine Centre. Thereafter he was the Specialist Advisor in Quality Assurance to Clinical Quality Department of the Ministry of Health (2000-2005). He has authored more than a hundred publications and is currently a reviewer to the Singapore Medical Journal and the Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
