he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont and continued her education studying for a year in the South of France at the University of Nice. It was volunteering at the California Marine Mammal Rescue that led her directly to veterinary school. She obtained her DVM from University of California- Davis in 1994. Before joining the Smith Veterinary Hospital team, Julie practiced in Vallejo, California.
Julie has special interest in feline medicine, internal medicine, and exotic animal medicine and surgery.
