Christy grew up on a cattle farm in Tazewell, Virginia. She moved to middle Tennessee in 2001 to attend MTSU. While attending MTSU, she joined the staff of Animal Medical Center as an assistant/receptionist. After receiving her BS in Animal Science, she moved on to a position as an assistant at Cascade Veterinary Hospital where she honed her large animal skills as well as maintaining her small animal skills. Christy rejoined Animal Medical Center in 2013 as the employee manager.
