Dr. Formicola spent five years as an academic researcher in Italy and France, managing research projects in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. He joined 4P Pharma to manage and administrate activities related to business development  and internal projects of the company. His thesis research project was performed at Hôpital Pitié-Salpétrière in Paris, France as a collaboration between Pierre et Marie Curie University, Paris, France and La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Morphogenetic and Cytological Sciences from La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy.
