Biography
McCorkle retired from the United States Marine Corps in October 2001. McCorkle last served as Deputy Commandant for Aviation, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. In this position, he was responsible for all of Marine Aviation to include procurement, material and parts support, and maintenance of Marine Corps aircraft, with a budget of over $8 billion.
