  The management of the plant and the Ministry of Industry and Trade understand the importance of developments for the future.    Development receives technical services of the plant, a design and technological laboratory is being created. Experimental and prototypes of new products are manufactured here, efficiency of rationalization proposals is checked.   Stand testing of products for reliability and durability is conducted.   The first industrial batches of products are made.    All this allows in a short time to launch products in shops in a batch production.    The workshops organized 5 production lines for machining, automatic lines for oxidation and nickel plating. A part of the rough machining of the parts was created, which allowed the bulk of the cast iron shavings to be concentrated on this site and, thus, to raise the production culture in the main shops, where parts were transferred for further processing with minimal allowances, which dramatically improved the operating conditions of the technical equipment in the main workshops.    By this time, the creation of a section of high-precision machines.    The number of technological equipment has been increased from 480 units in 1971 to 670 units in 1974. 44 special and 162 specialized metal working machines, 28 units of high-performance equipment (automatic and semi-automatic machines), 7 metal-cutting machines of high and very high precision were introduced.    There are two vertical elevator storage facilities for storing tools and equipment, three vertical warehouses with stacker cranes for workpieces, finished parts and normals.    In the thermal shop, a semiautomatic device for hardening parts in salt baths, a vibratory deburring unit, and a high frequency installation (HDTV) for hardening instruments in salt baths have been introduced and introduced.

 some of the equipment purchased in the years of the plant's formation, has already fulfilled its intended life and needed replacement. Analysis of the state of affairs, taking into account the prospects for the development of the plant, identified three main areas that most fully reflect the technical policy of the plant: 1. Improvement of existing technological processes and introduction of new ones. 2. Updating the technological park of equipment. 3. Reconstruction of the plant.     Here are some of the new technological processes introduced during this period: · Introduction of the technological process of brilliant electroplating in place of matte, which eliminated the need to polish parts to give them a presentation. The manual labor used in polishing was excluded. · Introduction of non-oxidative heating of parts, instead of the usual heating in air. This method of heating was first transferred to a metal-cutting tool made by own forces, then adjustments and slats to the vice, as well as parts of the lathe mechanized cartridges. · Diamond grinding and finishing of the cutting tool was introduced, instead of abrasive, which allowed to increase the durability of the cutting tool, to increase the accuracy and cleanliness of the surfaces of the machined parts. · The technology of hole processing in details by the method of plastic deformation instead of grinding was introduced, which made it possible to reduce the laboriousness of obtaining precise holes and the cost of the product as a whole.
