Jo qualified from Edinburgh in 1997 (quite surprising as she spent her last few years at university competing for GB in a rowing boat!) Her first years in practice were spent at a mixed practice in Oxfordshire. This was followed by a wonderful year working for the Orangutan Foundation International in Borneo and a further 3 years working for an international animal welfare charity, as project manager for their rehabilitation projects. The dizzy heights of ‘wildlife vet extraordinaire’ were brought to a halt in 2003 with the arrival of her first of 3 children; and she is happily ensconced in family life (with her nutty ginger hound Mara) and working 4-days a week as Senior Clinical Director for two clinics (The Pines in Maidenhead and Joel in Pinner). Her particular interests lie with chronic pain management, acupuncture and improving animal welfare.
