Jasmine graduated as a master in Biomedical Science at the University of Antwerp in 2012. Currently she is pursuing a PhD degree at the Laboratory of Medical Microbiology. The subject of her research is an evaluation of Whole Genome Mapping as a high resolution typing technique for a variety of clinical applications (outbreak descriptions and other epidemiological and clinical studies), within the framework of the EU-COMBACTE project. The main techniques used are Optical mapping, PCR and general microbiology techniques. As an assistant Jasmine also teaches the practical microbiology courses for medicine and biomedical students.
