Jack Welch, MD, one of the first anesthesiologists to practice in eastern North Carolina, moved to Greenville in 1971 to begin practice at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jack Welch, Dr. Juliet Song, emeritus, and Dr. D. Clark Bright were the founding partners in Pitt County Anesthesia Associates, which incorporated in 1978. Pitt became ECAA in 2006. The practice has continued to grow with new locations throughout NC. We now have over 60 anesthesiologists. Dr. Bright, a founding partner, is still a member of our active practicing physicians.
