Potasman has been the Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at the Bnai-Zion Medical Center (BZMC), Haifa, for the past 22 years, and is a regional infectious disease consultant at Maccabi Health Services. He is a national authority on topics of travel medicine. Prof Potasman published over 120 scientific papers and reviews on a wide range of topics in infectious diseases and travel medicine. Prof. Potasman is a graduate of the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem. He specialized in internal medicine at the BZMC, and in infectious diseases at Stanford University (laboratory of J.S. Remington).
