Elisabeth completed her study of medicine at the Medical University Graz in 2006. As a PhD student within the program of Immunology and nephrology she investigated models of transplant tolerance induction at the transplant laboratory of Thomas Wekerle (Medical University Vienna). Elisabeth was then trained two years at the Department of Transplant Surgery and since 2010 she is continuing her residency at the Division of Nephrology and Dialysis (Department of Medicine III, Medical University Vienna) and joined the VIETAC lab.
