Egbert Devries is responsible for creating an infrastructure in which large animal clinicians can practice effectively. He also works to create a better understanding of the importance of large animal work within CVS moving towards developing a stronger practice base in this area. Egbert has been involved in developing CVS' large animal practices from the start. Although it is still early days, there are many opportunities to grow large animal and mixed practices into an important part of CVS. He enjoys coming up with ideas and developing them, and says that the biggest challenge is getting used to working with different teams in different places. He covers a lot of miles because he wants to be with all of the teams on farm as much as possible and sometimes even operates on a cow here and there.
