Veronique Nussenblatt obtained her MD in 2007 and completed her training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she continued as faculty. Veronique also holds two masters’ degrees; one in Epidemiology and the other in Clinical Investigation. Veronique has worked on several infectious disease research projects, including projects in Mali, Malawi and South Africa. Prior to joining the University of Antwerp, in addition to her clinical responsibilities, her work has focused on antimicrobial stewardship, especially characterizing and decreasing the use of excess antibiotics for ventilator associated pneumonia.
