Tomislav Kostyanev is a medical doctor and also has a master’s degree in public health from the Medical University – Sofia, Bulgaria. He finished a 4-year training module in medical microbiology in 2012. During his residency, he was working as an assistant professor in microbiology in the Medical University-Sofia. In the Laboratory of Medical Microbiology in the University of Antwerp, Tomislav Kostyanev is involved in the European project COMBACTE (Combating Bacterial Resistance in Europe).
