Mr. Dilip Kumar Desai, the Non-Executive Managing Director of the company is a Post-Graduate in organic chemistry with specialization in drugs and antibiotics from Bombay University. He started his career as a production chemist with M/s. Roche Products Ltd. in 1971. Before joining Rusan, he was associated with Unichem Laboratories Ltd. for more than 15 years where he was instrumental in developing various analytical methods of non-official raw materials and formulations, like Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, Ranitidine, Sucralfate, Terbutaline, and Clonidine. He worked in various departments in quality control, quality assurance, regulatory, etc. He joined Rusan since inception in 1994 in the quality control & regulatory department and rose to become the Managing Director of the company in 2001. In his illustrious career, he has developed various formulations including NDDS, various antibiotics & CNS formulations, injectables and veterinary formulations. Mr. Desai has extensively traveled to various countries across the world. His expertises include setting up CGMP, UKMHRA, and USFDA compliant pharmaceutical plant, and contract manufacturing a range of formulations, regulatory affairs, quality assurance & assurance, analytical development, and handling techno commercial matters.
