Biography

Tim Gallagher is the Dean of Faculty of Science and Chemistry. He also researched in the field of Synthetic Chemistry; Heterocyclic and Carbohydrate Chemistry .      

Research Intrest

Tim Gallagher is a Professor or Organic Chemistry.  He was born in New Zealand, moved to the UK as a teenager and received his BSc from University College Cardiff (1977) and PhD from Liverpool University (1980). He spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher with Professor Philip Magnus FRS at Indiana University (1980-1983) where he focussed on the total synthesis of complex indole alkaloids, as well as steganone and CC-1065.
